The PowerShed PS46 is a freestanding outdoor cabinet with 46 kWh of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery storage and an 18 kW Sol-Ark hybrid inverter. It is insulated and climate controlled for home backup, off-grid properties and remote sites.
LFP batteries cannot safely charge below freezing (32 °F / 0 °C). The PowerShed's integral heater keeps the batteries in their charging range, and the cabinet is rated for -20 °F to 115 °F (-29 °C to 46 °C).
An outdoor cabinet keeps the batteries out of your living space, frees up garage room, and does not need a heated room to keep working through the winter.
A typical U.S. home uses about 25 to 30 kWh a day, so 46 kWh covers roughly a day and a half of normal use. It lasts longer if you run only essential loads, and indefinitely when solar is recharging it.
Yes. The hybrid inverter accepts grid, solar and generator inputs, so it works for cabins, yurts and remote sites with no utility connection.
UL 9540 (Third Edition) listing is in progress with Intertek (ETL).
We ship the PowerShed to your site, or we handle a custom install. A licensed electrician makes the final connection.
