Off-Grid Cabin Battery Storage

Snowy mountain scene with solar panels and a small shelter.

Reliable Power for Your Cabin

The PowerShed PS46 gives your off-grid cabin, yurt or remote property reliable power in any season. It's a complete battery system in one freestanding outdoor cabinet, so it doesn't take up space inside your cabin.

The Problem with Most Cabin Battery Setups

Batteries crammed into a shed, crawl space or utility closet struggle in the cold, overheat in summer, and take up space you'd rather use. Lithium batteries can't safely charge below freezing, which is exactly when a cabin needs them most.

How the PowerShed Solves It

  • 46 kWh of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery storage
  • 18 kW Sol-Ark hybrid inverter
  • Insulated, climate-controlled cabinet rated -20 °F to 115 °F (-29 °C to 46 °C)
  • Solar and generator inputs, with grid input if you have it
  • Sits outside, away from your living space
  • Delivered ready to connect, or with a custom install

How Long Will It Run?

A typical off-grid cabin uses about 5 to 15 kWh per day. At that rate, 46 kWh covers about 3 to 9 days without sun or a generator. Actual runtime depends on your loads and the weather.

Built for the Mountains

Micro-Grids designs and builds the PowerShed in Colorado, where cabins see deep cold, heavy snow and summer heat. UL 9540 listing is in progress with Intertek (ETL).
